The information below is for students planning to enter for the Fall 2023 semester.
Enrolled in math during all four years of high school
Enrolled in pre-calculus or calculus by or during junior year
Grades of B or higher in junior year math and beyond. Senior year math courses will be reviewed and considered, if available at the time of admission review.

Students who do not meet these direct admission requirements may have the opportunity to enter IUPUI through University College while they work toward their goals and meet the requirements of the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology. This information is for students planning to enter for the Fall 2023 semester.
First, be sure to read your admission letter carefully. It provides important information regarding your student orientation session and future enrollment. Next, the School of Engineering and TechnologyOffice of Student Serviceswould be delighted to hear from you and your plans to enroll. If you like, they can put you in touch with a School of Engineering and Technology student ambassador. (A student’s perspective can be so helpful!) They will also be happy to answer other questions that you may have regarding the School of Engineering and Technology and the IUPUI campus as well.
The School of Engineering and TechnologyNew Student Academic Advising Centerwill be available to assist you with developing your plan of study and choosing your classes. Typically, freshman students meet with the New Student Academic Advising Center staff during orientation.
Engineering is more theoretical and focuses on new innovation and design. Higher level math and science courses are required.
Engineering Technology is more hands on focusing on the implementation and extension of existing technologies. Math and science courses are required, but the focus is on application as opposed to theory as in an engineering program.
