1. DOE Solar Decathlon competition, 2018, 2019, 2020

  2. DOE Solar District Cup, 2020

  EEN & Energy club students Nick Aldrich, Karina Gonzalez de Graaf, Kathryn Holland, Corey Miller (leader), Kevin Morrow and Thomas Schmidt were among the finalist in the competition and presented their design in Atlanta, GA.

  3. ASHARE Regional Competition, 2020
  Five members of the Energy Club and ASME at IUPUI (Corey Miller, Ebin Daniel, Glorio Singui, JP Giovannone and Libby West) went to Ball State for the annual ASHRAE Impromptu Competition on February 15th.  Each team was paired up with a couple of industry professionals to help guide the design and answer technical questions. The competition turned out to focus on designing an HVAC system for a hypothetical new research building on the Ball State campus. This system needed to handle the loads for an office area, a research area, and a teaching area with a very high density of fume hoods. Energy Club's design was able to reduce the number of air handling units required compared to the other teams, earning the 2nd place position and a $700 prize
