Purdue University Masters Program Application for Admission

Domestic Applicants: (U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents whose undergraduate degree is from an accredited USA college/university.)

Application Checklist

  1. Application with $70 application fee paid  (Apply here.) 
  2. Transcripts: You must upload electronically to the online application your transcript(s) and/or academic documents for every institution of higher education you attended. If a transcript is not in english, you must upload an English translation certified by the college or university which issued it. The uploaded transcript and/or academic document must be the official version of the document. An official transcript bears the original signature of the registrar and/or the original seal of the issuing institution. All transcripts and/or academic documents uploaded to the online application system are considered unofficial. Your unofficial transcript will be used for the application review & admission purposes. If you are recommended & admitted for admission, you must submit your official hard copy transcripts and/or academic documents directly to the IUPUI Graduate School after you arrive to campus. If you are currently studying for a baccalaureate degree, you will later be required to submit a document that verifies the awarding of that degree.
  3. Certified copy of Bachelor's Degree (diploma), (if not posted on final transcript)
  4. Three (3) letters of recommendations
  5. Résumé or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  6. Statement of Purpose  (Note that any instance of plagiarism found in your Statement of Purpose will result in your application being rejected.  For a description of what constitutes plagiarism, please review section "G.3 Plagiarism" of the IUPUI Student Code of Conduct.)
  7. GRE:  No Official General GRE test scores are required if you have a GPA that is 3.0 GPA or higher on the US 4.0 scale.                                               If a GRE is required, there is not a minimum score requirement for the GRE, the Admission’s Committee would like to see an minimum quantitative score of 160+ or higher (78%), verbal score of  150+ or higher (45%) and an analytical writing score of 3.0 or higher (15%).  Domestic & International students must submit GRE scores.  Waivers are granted on case-by-case basis.  For consideration of a GRE waiver, you will need to submit a request and include a copy of all transcripts, resume & (TOEFL/IELTS scores if applicable) to ecegrad@iupui.edu  You are encouraged to go to the ETS website and use their free test prep: https://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/prepare/ . 

International Applicants
