Interested in a Career in Motorsports? Inviting High School Girls to Join us!
The Della Penna Foundation and the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI are hosting a joint event for high school girls to learn more about the opportunities to get involved in motorsports.
The School of Engineering and Technology offers the only bachelor’s degree in motorsports engineering in the entire U.S., while the Della Penna Foundation has established itself over the last year as a gateway for more women and girls to kickstart a career in motorsports.

You will have the opportunity to learn more about how you can be part of the next generation of motorsports professionals. The event may include events and activities on the IUPUI Campus and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

POWER+IT stands for Preparing Outstanding Women for Engineering Roles and Information Technology Summer Camp! This program will be held in person and is hosted by the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI:
2023 Dates: This year we will host POWER Camp meets Motorsports, May 19-21 - more information can be found in the event specific section above
The camp will explore engineering and technology with students who will be entering grades 9-12 in the Fall of 2022 (Graduating high school seniors who have been admitted to an engineering and technology program at IUPUI for the Fall 2022 semester are welcome to attend the camp and may be eligible to apply for an incoming student scholarship – awards range from $1000-$2000).
Participants will have fun and interactive opportunities to learn about engineering and technology. The camp will provide activities designed to prepare students for success in college and students will be introduced to university faculty and industry representatives.
The program fee for the camp is $100, which includes a drawstring bag, t-shirt, and project materials and lunch. Receipt of payment will hold a participant’s spot in the camp.
Need-based scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
