Explore engineering and technology with students in grades 9-12. Participants will have fun interactive hands-on opportunities to learn about engineering and technology. Participants will also be able to spend time with industry professionals.

MEAP ACE stands for Minority Engineering Advancement Program-Accelerated College Engagement Summer Camp! This program is held on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus.
Explore engineering and technology with students who are entering their senior year in high school fall 2020. Participants will have fun interactive hands-on opportunities to learn about engineering and technology. Participants will also be able to spend time with faculty in various labs learning about research.
Funded by the National Science Foundation, the Research Experiences for Teacher Advancement In Nanotechnology (RETAIN) is a six week program that provides a unique opportunity for high-school teachers to explore the interdisciplinary field of nanotechnology at IUPUI and its impact on STEM education. This cutting-edge field is rapidly becoming an essential part of science, engineering, medicine, and many other disciplines.
About the Program
The program is for US citizens or permanent residents only.
Teacher can receive up to $8,000 via stipend, tuition, supplies, and travel.
The program pays a stipend of $6,000.
Travel reimbursements of up to $1,000 will be covered to attend and present at a national conference.
Up to $1,000 to purchase materials/supplies to assist teachers in transferring the research experience to their classrooms.
Participants are required to attend entire six weeks, all weekly meetings, seminars, field trips, and workshops.

Earn a college-credit hour in Engineering & Technology and/or Science and enjoy the benefits of being a college-student at IUPUI.
A $500.00 scholarship stipend is available to students who are financially disadvantaged, 21st century scholars, or from high-need/socioeconomic school districts.Participants who are covered through scholarship are required to attend two weeks.
